  Import Multiple Installs
Top  Previous  Next

Importing multiple installs is almost identical to importing a single install as described in previous step. Instead of selecting a single file, you select multiple files by using standard Windows selection keys. Holding the Ctrl key down on the keyboard and click with the mouse will select the files you click on. Selecting a file, then holding the Shift key down and selecting another file will select both files and all files in between them in the file list.

select multiple files

If you click on the Import option (the only one in the menu for multiple selections) the "Import the selected file" window will pop up, see previous step. Select the Install Group and the Owner and then click the OK button.

importfiles - file menu
You can right click on the file list to choose if you want to import the file or not. You can also use the [+] and [-] keys on the keyboard. The [space bar] will change the setting from import to not import. The [Enter] key will bring up the same menu as when you right click.

You can also use the File properties option to open the File Properties dialog if you need more information about the file that would help you to decide if you want to import it or leave it.

file properties - general
This is the standard Windows File properties window and will show you all the available information about the file.
